Customer Service Nightmare!!!!

On Wednesday, April 29th I updated my Walmart.ca account deleting all old addresses and phone number so that the only information in there was my current phone number and address which was both the shipping and billing address. I then placed an order through the website inputting the only address and phone number in the file. I got the email confirmation for my order…to my shock the shipping address was my old address which I haven’t lived at since October/November 2019. I immediately checked to see if I could change this online….no I had to call customer service which I was already on hold trying to reach anyways. The website said that the address change needed to be done within 30 minutes of the order. I was on the phone trying customer service within minutes of the order being placed. I proceeded to sit on hold for 3 hours waiting to be connected to customer service. During this time I also tried the chat feature which just sent me in a loop of asking if they could help me, showing me something on the website FAQs and then saying they couldn’t help me right now and booting me back to asking if they could help me. In 3 hours I never reached anybody. I also emailed Walmart (to this day I have yet to receive a response from that email which was guaranteed to be answered within 72 hours). When I finally got someone on the phone he told me that since I had missed the deadline there was nothing he could do except send it to the email team for investigation and change of address, but I was guaranteed it would be done within 48 hours. Friday I called back… I spent another 3 hours on hold, again trying the chat to no avail and again sending another unanswered email….when someone finally picked up they hung up on me right away. I called back and instead of sitting on hold for another 3 hours went through to the grocery section, so I could actually speak to a supervisor quickly. I was able to speak to one from a Quebec call center who guaranteed me he would call logistics directly and have the address changed. He also guaranteed me that the item would not ship before Monday and that the address would be changed before it shipped. Saturday I get an email from Walmart advising me that my item has shipped with UPS and low and behold it’s going to the wrong address. An address where complete strangers are living now. I called and sat on hold for hours again. I tried logistics, multiple different customer service numbers, at one point I had two different calls waiting on hold merged each on two different phones trying to reach anyone and nothing. I finally called UPS directly and was told that there was nothing they could do at that moment due to the fact that they were a different part of the company and in the US (the Canadian section had closed until Monday). I was told to call back on Monday morning and someone in the Canadian UPS office could help me change the address. I got up early and called first thing when they opened today. I was advised that only Walmart could make that change, the only way I could do it was to wait until my package had been attempted to be delivered to perfect strangers and then if they don’t take it, I can then call and schedule it to be delivered to me. So i got back on hold waiting to speak to someone at Walmart Canada customer service…once again I got someone who could do nothing for me. He couldn’t even get me a supervisor to speak to. He did advise me that even though my information showed only the one address I had left there, you store system showed my old address entered 3 times with a phone number that hasn’t been active in over 2 years and was deleted from account way back then. He they said he would have a supervisor call me back. That was almost 2 hours ago. Needless to say I am beyond livid and at an absolute loss as to how Walmart even keeps its customer with such absolute disregard for them. I just got through to someone again at customer service only to be placed back in the queue with nothing done…she literally said, one moment as I started to explain, and put me back in the queue. I finally got through to someone else who just told me the only option now was to cancel but there was no guarantee it would happen since it’s already been shipped. If/when the package is returned to the delivery depot then and only then will I receive my refund for my order. If the people it’s being shipped to decide to keep it then my only recourse is to start an investigation into the matter then. I have no words to describe how unbelievable this whole experience has been.

No one contacted me

No one contacted me afterwards. I had also chat with Walmart customer representative, she also promised me will refer the said case to senior for direct follow up. But nothing. Very disappointed.

No contact from the company since the service complaint was filed. Bags were not available at self checkouts, not all self checkout terminals were running and employees either did not know how to turn it on or did not care about wasting the precious time of customers.

User’s recommendation: Observe and report unprofessional behaviour. Try to resolve it with the employees present. If not contact the company through their corporate office making them aware of the situation in hopes that it will be read and acted upon as soon as possible.

Self checkouts

I went shopping to my Walmart in Courtenay B.C. They have removed all but 2 checkouts and expanded to more self checkouts. I did my shopping and stood in a very long line at the checkouts. Both tills had very long lines. This is terrible customer service, many of us do not want to use self checkouts. We want to have a cashier to speak to and serve us. I stood behind a lady who had an over filled buggy. She spent $432 so it took awhile to ring in and bag all her stuff. The line behind me got very long and the other line was no better. 2 tills are not enough for such a huge store and cashiers should not have to deal with all the complaints. It is not their fault and you are making their job harder. I worked in retail for many years and it was always impressed on us that the most important thing was customer service. I hope your company will reconsider and put back a few tills and cashiers.

Several months ago, I was reimbursed for a trip that didn’t happen due to covid. The money was put back on my Walmart Mastercard. When I contacted Walmart Financial, they informed me that it would take 45 days to have my money returned to me. Although I was not thrilled with the length of the wait, I accepted this news. In the meantime, I still made purchases on my account but would pay it off immediately so that the money for my trip would still remain a credit on my account. Yesterday I called them and told them that I had requested to be reimbursed on July 30th and I knew that my45-dayy wait was quickly approaching but wanted to know what day I could expect to get it back. I was told that unfortunately because I was still using my card that I could not get my money right away because every time I used my card they would have to start reprocessing all over again. I could not believe that no one thought to tell me this when I had asked for my reimbursement, and also what is the good of a charge card if you can’t use it for 45 days while waiting for a reimbursement. I can understand if there was no available money left on my card, but I had $4500 available money on my card that I might want to take advantage of. I spoke to two other supervisors, who told me just about the same thing. Although the last person said I only had to wait 30 days. I told them I wanted to cancel my card so this afternoon I called them and spoke to a lady and when she saw the credit that I wanted to have returned she said it would be easier to leave it there and just use it whenever I needed it I told her no, thank you just send me my money and cancel my card. She said it would take 30 days and they will put it on my debit card. I can not believe that this company would have such a crazy and strange policy. After cancelling my Walmart Mastercard I called President’s Choice Mastercard and got approved within fifteen minutes for one of their cards, they have better offers and reward programs, I don’t know why I didn’t apply for one of their cards years ago. To top it off if you have a large credit to be reimbursed to you it will only take two to three months to get it back.

Online order that was never delivered

Place an order on Thursday 30 September 2021 for delivery on Friday 01 October 2021. Delivery was not made. Contacted customer support and they could not assist. Contacted Walmart again on the 3rd October 2021. The reason for non delivery was technical issue. I requested a refund and or I hold of the payment deduction which has to be escalated to the finance department. So much for online ordering and poor customer care. What now Walmart.ca?????

Was assaulted when trying to return illegally sold ( by Walmart ) blurays.

Walmart sells bluray video discs that are not meant for sale in Canada so digital codes for streaming the movie are not accessible. When you try to return them, they simply refuse and if you ask to see the store manager, you could be assaulted as I was.

Poor service quality

Non-availability of plastic bags and not all self-payment checkouts terminals were operational resulting in long lines and tremendous waste of time. Staff not a least bit concerned about this and instead of working to fix it, they are just wasting their time by chatting amongst themselves. Isles are also cluttered and carts meant for customer use are being used to restock products on the shelves.

User’s recommendation: Exercise more patience and come only to shop and not to hangout. Wear masks and face coverings properly and maintain at least a distance of 2 m or 6 feet when shopping.

Received confirmation of order on 10th September. Another notification on 12th stating my order was on the move with pickup at Walmart, 799 Milner Avenue, Store #3111 on 28th. Today is 28th, and no news for pickup. Don’t understand why it is taking so long when it was supposed to be coming from Vaughan, Ontario, which is about a 20-minute drive from your 799 Milner Avenue store location. A reply is appreciated. Return pkg

I have been trying to return an electric underground dog fence. The strata that I live in would not allow me to put it on the common part of my lot. So I had to return it, I could not find my bill, so I returned it in its original pkg that it came in. Just the same as it came. When the clerk at Walmart tried to return it, the company refused it . The girl tried to override the posses but couldn’t. The clerk said I needed a order # but there was nothing on the pkg inside or out and the order form I printed of the website did not give one either. After many tries, I finely contacted the company Shenzhen Wanruikai Commercial Co Ltd. We exchanged many e-mails where I received a order # 324213****865 But I still was unable to return this item. Then I received an e-mail telling me that they would send me a new one. I replied no, I just what a refund. And to send some return labels for their electric dog fencing. Now I CAN NOT CONTACT THEM VIA E-MAIL Through all this to plan a military funeral for my 97 yr old brother who pass away July 11, and I also deal with the dreaded disease of Multiple Sclerosis. I ordered groceries to be delivered to a friend. The delivery time was between 1-2 pm. first driver cancelled order because he could find building??? Come on, it’s HUGE!! I have called customer service 5x today and all they say is that the driver has been reassigned and groceries will be there in the next 2 hours!! It’s been 6 hours now and still NO groceries!!

Moldy beef jerky purchased today

To whom it may concern, I am writing this with great dissatisfaction and concern for an extremely moldy bag of beef jerky my husband consumed this evening from the Walmart at Northland Mall, Calgary AB. He ate it in the dark while we were watching TV so did not see the mold until halfway through and then discovered some was very off. Quickly we googled what consuming moldy beef jerky meant and among the responses was salmonella and E. Coli bacteria poisoning and possibly needing medical treatment if symptoms persist. My husband did puke a significant amount as a result of consumption but was lucky to not be brought into the hospital tonight. I am writing this not only to have something done in compensation for my husbands terrible experience and discomfort but also to put a recall on these items before someone gets very sick from it!!! We are very high frequent and loyal shoppers at Walmart so hope to keep it that way. I have pictures of the moldy beef jerky, the expiry date (Nov 19/22), the bar code (17082 1****), the receipt (0170********) purchased at Northland Walmart in Calgary AB (store 3011) on September 14/2021. Please contact me at your earliest convenience as I will continue to persist with this until a proper response and action is taken to correct this contamination. Suspecting a purchased product has been exchanged – Epson Printer – Reject of Exchange

I purchased a brand new printer at shop in #903, 18th Street North, Brandon, MB R7A7S1, on August 13, 2021. Details as below : 1) Brand and Model : Epson ET-2720. Series No. X67904**** A few days ago, the said printer did not work ( no function for printing ), the technical staff of Epson, confirmed the printer is having a hardware malfunction and your printer will require service. They suggested us, we can send back to Walmart and exchange the new one at our convenient because it is not over 30 days. On Sept 9, 2021, I brought that printer back to 18th street shop, and make a requesting. Customer Service checked the product an told me the series number on product did not match the packaging. Reject the exchange of product. I am so surprised that we did not expect to check the package information whether it is matching or not, because the product was been already registered. But now, Customer Service said they did not know everything, and told us we can contact Epson for more information. Rejected to exchange the new one. Today, Sept 10. I phoned Epson Customer Service and with the technician to check the printer problems over the phone. Epson confirmed that, the printer i bought it must be have something strange issues. The color of ink strip is not the Epson original one. Suspect the printer is a used printer ( Refurbished Machine ). I am shocking now. please to take investigation for : 1) why the printer it show at shop ( packed box) is not the brand new ? 2) I spent a money should be a new printer price. 3) do it have someone to replace the second hand (used) printer and you did not know ? 4) how can i do it ? I think it shall be a criminal offense if that incident is true. Appreciate you quick reply and take actions for follow-up.
