Samantha went above and beyond to help my son out with glasses. She made sure that he was taking care of and had his glasses. We were having issues with how to get them fixed after they were broken and the warranties had already been used. Once again thank you and God Bless You!!

Erroneous billing

Since yearly exam 4/3/21 I continually received bills for a $40 balance. I paid 207.00, their bills show my amount was 155.00 and owe 40.00. I PAID 207!!! My local office that I have gone to for many years did the correct billing, but the idiots in billing at some remote location obviously DO NOT understand this. NOW I receive a FINAL NOTICE. My credit rating is excellent and if this EYE CHAIN does not correct ASAP I will no longer continue with the local office (that was PRIVATELY OWNED for decades) and find a suitably privately owned office in my town.

User’s recommendation: If your optometrist allows the chain to buy them out..FORGET ABOUT IT!

Poor customer help

When I got my glasses (very expensive glasses) the girl said she liked the pair I got better than the 3 other pairs I tried on. Sadly she was going by her taste and not the requirements needed for my face. The bridge piece is way to big. I have been asked by 3 people why I was wearing mens glasses. (What the heck)! My nose bridge shouldnt be larger than a 51. Im so disgusted. Im going to have to say that was $350 down the porcelain potty.

User’s recommendation: Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Save your aggravation, stress and having to deal with incompetence for when you’re in the mood for self abuse. What a joke.

Since May 2021, my Rx for my eyewear lens has been ordered. I paid $239 out of my SSDI. Now, it is almost August 2021. They came up with bogus excuses. They avoid giving me a refund. They knew that I am Deaf. Prejudice. Prejudiced.ComplaintCcD

The one positive thing is that they will text you when your glasses come in, something Low Country seems to have a problem with.

I have a prescription that literally gives me a headache to wear. When I called to try to get help, I couldn’t get them to even answer the phone. It got transferred to some central location, and that guy left a message for the local manager to call me. He never called. The office is being remodeled and is in a total state of chaos, but for them to not return the call is ridiculous.

Terrible customer service

I placed my order for new frames, but the customer helped never measured for my progressive bifocals or the frames. When I called stating no one took the measurements, the person who took my order the day before said she had taken all the measurements. I stated my husband was with me at the time I placed the order, and confirmed no measures taken. No apology until I said, you are not going to apologize for the error. She then apologized. When I went to pick up my new glasses, no one checked the fit, the customer service person just handed me the glasses. I had to go back the next day again to have the glasses fitted.

Repeated issues: failure to properly file claims under co-insurance

In 2018 we used MyEyeDr for our annual eye care regimen. My wife and I each have insurance. Despite MyEyeDr’s website promotion that they are expert in processing all insurance claims, it looks numerous emails over 7 months to finally correct over $500 in unclaimed benefit attributable directly to the providers inability to properly file claims. In 2019 I reached out in advance of our appointments to ensure the issue wouldn’t be repeated. Despite those assurances, we had the very same issue. Despite repeated requests, the issue is still not resolved. Cost to us: at least $500l

User’s recommendation: If you have individual insurance, diligently check the claims submitted. If you have coinsurance, find another provider.

Racism and inappropriate derogatory language

I was terminated for letting a patient know she wasnt eligible for an exam! She came in very irate, and my coworker was loud telling her after the patient yelling and slamming the protest door because I was being firm not yelling at all!! But my coworker is friends with the many, and the manager who thinks shes perfect, called a white patient white trash!
