Terrible service and refund delay

Our cruise was cancelled 15 days before sailing. We are now being told that our 18,500 refund will be delayed for 60 days. Who would ever find that acceptable? The cruise line expects that we just accept this though they are the ones that were ill-prepared and their lack of action resulted in a bigger mess than necessary. Though customers have no control, HAL has repeatedly made poor decisions that negatively impact their customers.

User’s recommendation: Stay away from HAL and do not give them any money.

I am having the same experience with Norweigian cruise line. We were supposed to leave this past Monday. Even with travel insurance it is a nightmare and they don’t want to credit us back the money nor at least let us have a future cruise.

Website charged my CC the full amount instead of the deposit. After contacting they told me my money would be refunded in about 14 Days. I told them that it should not take that long.

Info regarding vaccines.

I wasn’t able to get information regarding Covid vaccine requirements for Canadians sailing from the US. I did eventually get to speak to someone who found the information for me. Canadians with mixed vaccines, I.e Astra Zenica and Phizer or Moderna are not allowed to sail from US ports. Canadians are allowed to sail from European ports on the same cruise lines. Canada recognizes mixed vaccines, in fact encouraged it, as fully vaccinated individuals. I don’t see this as a cruise line screw up ..bua gover

Booked Alaska all passengers vaccinated cruise. No masks would be required onboard the ship. Two days before departure we received an email informing us that wearing a mask would be required in all areas of the ship except when eating. Would have never booked the cruise under these terms. Cancelled trip immediately. No communication, explanation, apology from Holland America.

I Theresa Padilla received her refund back, but my cruise consultant Amy C. kept $260.00. It’s not fair, because she never advised me, about getting the Covid-19 shots. I kept asking, but she continues to say no worries.

Cancelling the reservation

I, Theresa Padilla complaint was about why I’m not receiving a full refund?! I had to cancel because I’m not getting vaccinated anytime soon. I was never advised by my cruise consultant Amy Cucina, that it’s required to get vaccinated, before boarding the cruise ship. I, Theresa continue to ask Amy, about being vaccinated, but she would reply and say no worries. If I had known that I needed to be vaccinated before boarding, I would have declined to take this cruise on 11/14/21./201/14/crui11/14/2021.

I know what you are saying and agree..We had 3 trips on Rotterdam booked; HAL cancels 2 and then reschedules on 1 the same and 1 similar for next fall; then they leave our 3rd one as scheduled for this Oct. They give no consideration that would require 2 trips to Amsterdam and one of them 2 years in a row.

Then to top it off my bookings were thru 2 different TA’s; 1 of them claims she has no clue about cancellations and the other one got a call back today and then was cutoff and after waiting a few hours. Once we get all this resolved even it neans cancelling all 3 which will be a fight to get all monies back, we are done with these clowns.
