DON’T GO TO GRAND MEMORIES VARADERO

Good morning, Could you please pass this on to the correct department, I know it has nothing to do with you but I feel they should know how bad my vacation was at Grand Memories nothing grand about it. My husband and I have been going to different parts of Cuba for over 20 times, this is our third time in Varadero and I can tell you we will never go back. We know that the food is not the greatest but the people are usually kind and helpful, but not this time we gave over $200.00 in tips and still nothing we complained to the manager and would always get the same answer ( we will get it done for you enjoy your time ) well we did not enjoy our time. We were 12 in the group I’m sure you will hear back from them as well as we all had pretty much the same issues. I’ve attached pictures of my room that was never cleaned for the 7 days we were there. 1) Bed cover with holes never changed 2) Bed sheets never changed same spots I would check when we returned to our room we slept in our clothing including socks (thank god the weather sucked) 3) Toilet seat brooking never fixed every time I sat I felt like I would fall 4) Bathroom door with mold and mildew 5) Bath tub disgustingly gross we tried cleaning thank god I took disinfectant spray 6) Balcony door no lock, were it was to be a lock it had been removed completely, my husband moves a furniture piece against it for our security 7) No clean towels and we asked every day 8) Ran out of drinks every day including beer at one time they told us to get our own, we did go buy beer the food no complains we know what Cuba is. 9) Bathrooms out of rooms disgustingly gross especially the mans bathrooms my husband said they were plugged all week. This is unacceptable we spent our money on this vacation to relax not to stress about anything, this was a very stressful vacation. I feel that we should be compensated for this somehow, no one should go to a vacation and wish to come home ASAP, if we could we would. Information regarding future destinations.

I do not have a problem only a question. Is there the possibility SunWing will be flying directly to Santiago de Cuba 2022? I have been a passenger with SunWing for many years and do prefer your airline. A few years ago when my husband died while we were vacationing in Santiago de Cuba, the SunWing rep.was very helpful guiding me through a difficult procedure and getting me home. Like so many people living through this pandemic, I am anxious to travel again. Thank you and stay safe andhealthy.

Cancelled wedding 40 days before departing

The date was moved two days ago from oct 15 to oct 17 and now we are told that there is no room on flight. This was book a year ago people took vacation last min people changed the dates that was yesterday and today we are told its cancelled. People took time off this this wedding and now its not going to happen people there is no room on the flight .

Cant get information regarding leaving Dominican Republic, Rep has no answers.

Departing Riu Republic Friday, plane 3:15 p.m. Paid private pick up no idea time. Paid for transfer.

User’s recommendation: Insist on a retained Rep or just fly to destination on any airline and book direct.

I was told I could use my voucher to reserve . and pay the other half with my card. Now I am FN told I gotta pay for the whole FN Vacation then Sunwing will apply the FN voucher and the money will come back to my card in 3 to 5 business days!!!!!! What kind of FN *** is that !!!!!

Fail to cancel our deposit on trip

We have had a trip booked for just over a year for a wedding in Mexico and because of covid and our daughters medical breathing issues. After contacting our travel agent through Destination weddings and presenting our case on our daughter with permanent medical breathing issues for this trip this fall we were rejected within an hour of our travel agent submitting our story and details. I have had issues with sunwing years ago and now this confirms that I will never try and fly with them again. Compassion is not part of there customer service!everneverN

The customer service I spoke is not even helping me what I need.

You have to tell all the customer service to have a good attitude not rude, because the customer service I spoke to is even trying to pull out my information, what a poor customer service you have.

I was travelling March 13 last year (COVID ) Hit that week. My son had a upper respiratory infection which I honestly came forward and told them. They did not refund my money or give me vouchers and denied me and my family boarding

Want my money back

Due to covid and the cancellation of our trip I would like all of my money back….I paid for travel insurance yet they would only give me half of my money back and I have to have a credit with Sunwing….yes you are extending the time frame but working at a hospital I know that anyone could have a medical condition that could change their life, one may die and Sunwing will get to keep my money…..and until I use the credit again Sunwing is using my money. Trying to get thru to their customer service line is impossible as well, very poor and I would prefer not to use Sunwing again.

No refund and more then likely have an expired voucher

Did not receive voucher extension. I will lose my voucher before i have the time to use it. Took it up the tail pipe by sunwing. Who can afford to take a week off on vacation and another 2 weeks of isolation and the risk of getting sick. Give the money back !! Especially if you had insurance like i did.

Our trip was cancelled due to the corona virus. We checked with our booking agent several times to see if our trip was still a go and then it was cancelled. We have never flown Sunwing before and were looking forward to this trip. When it got Cancelled due to the Covid we were told we would be getting a full refund from our booking agent. I checked with her several times to be told it was a refund. When I inquired as to where the refund was I was sent a note saying that because of the volume of refunds we were now not getting one. This is grossly unfair. You have had our Money now since Feb 2020 to find out now that the restrictions in place would end up Costing us more money when we are able to travel again. As far as I am concerned we should be paid interest in our money while you keep it or keep our booking at the same price. I would like your feedback

200 dollar voucher not received yet

Was offered a $200 refund towards next vacation. April 2019 we went to Montego Bay Holiday Inn. Our flight was delayed a day. We both missed work and lost two days wages. We were offered a $200 voucher towards our next holiday. We took our honeymoon in November with Sunwing I never received the $200 voucher off.
